Now Samsung has released the latest flagship mobile phone chip Exynos 9820. Exynos 9820 is also the first chip with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU) of the Korean hardware giant and the first processor to be manufactured using 8nm technology. Brings a 15% increase in multi-core performance, which is 40% higher than the power efficiency of the previous generation of chips.

In addition to performance improvements, Exynos 9820 will also bring 8K video shooting capabilities to the device. It also supports UFS 3.0 storage, this chip will make application and file loading faster in the future. Compared with the 1.2Gbps of the previous-generation modem, the processor uses an improved modem, and its download speed can reach 2Gbps. However, this generation of modems is not ready for 5G. Therefore, Samsung's upcoming foldable Galaxy F and Galaxy S10 may use this chip, but there will be no 5G. However, there are reports that there will be a 5g S10 that may use a Qualcomm processor with comparable performance.

Samsung said that the NPU will be used to identify the scenes and objects shot by the mobile phone camera and adjust the settings to take good photos. It will also help augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications. The company added that the processor will be put into mass production before the end of this year, which means it can be used on the upcoming Galaxy S10 flagship phone. Another foldable phone will be released earlier this month and is expected to go on sale in March next year.
